Less trailer or more truck. 
On to other things. Get a small floor jack or bottle jack and a 4 way lug wrench. Have enough blocks of some kind to take a substantial amount of weight off of disabled axle. Touch tires and hubs at every stop. You're looking for excessive heat and tire defects.
Some areas, like west Texas, gas stations can be very far apart. Consider refueling at a half a tank. Keep those trailer tires aired up! Excessive heat is a major cause of tire failure. Don't get in a hurry if at all possible. Your tires are probably rated at 65mph max.
There are so many wonderful things to see in America.
