2 more days til the darkside
We're excited, but also a bit wistful to know the ROO will be leaving.... but SOON, we hope. We're loading up the necessities for pick up and the trip home. First night at Indian Lake. Doubt we'll hold up for the whole trip back in one day, so will probably pull in Thursday noon. DS will be anxiously waiting to see what all the excitement is about.
Looking through the RVW website - like I didn't have anything else to do - it's been interesting to see the changes in the 2604 and others over just the past 2 - 3 years. Colors - some really great, some OMG!!! They changed a wardrobe in our 2013 from a shorter length to a mostly full length locker with a mirror on the door. Eliminated 1 convenience outlet in the bedroom, which will be remedied the first weekend we're home - gotta have a place to recharge your phones and Kindles! Cabinets went from the oak we have in the ROO to the cherry, apparently as the primary.
PDI - as newbies we didn't have a clue. Just sorta walked in, looked around, the guy pointed out a few things and we were outa there. We were lucky, everything was perfect. This time we have a 2 page list of things to check over. Not taking any chances if we can help it.
Hotels - I didn't want to BUY the thing, just stay in a room for 1 night.....good grief! Could have camped 4 nights or more for what some of them wanted. We found an acceptable one for a sorta decent price. And it's closeby. And has breakfast. Guess we'e used to campground rates, not the Waldorf Astoria.
So come Tuesday morning at 11:00 Eastern time, please think of us signing on the dotted line. At at 11:10, pleae call all your friends who might be interested in an immaculate '07 23SS and tell them it's available.
We'll just have a few days home to get this all sorted out and then we meet some DFs from a zillion years ago - haven't seen them in nearly 20 - for some wine and catch-up time. Then home. Then to our fav CG for 4 days, previously planned. I think the Rockwood will get a good going over during this first few weeks. So excited. So wistful.
