Do you know what the diesel gave for comparison? Were you close enough to benefit from the draft?. Have you towed slower for comparison? My experience is that economy really drops as you get over 60mph but I have never tried 75 for an extended period.

Nice. I noticed recently on my trip that the computer calculated mileage was nearly one full MPG higher than actual calculation (miles traveled/gallons used per the pump). I don't know why that is, but my computer said I was getting nearly 10 MPG (9.8) and my calculation I was right at 9.0. Different rig, of course, but makes me wonder if all computers are off. Did you happen to verify the old fashioned way?Mike

When we split up at the end (he had 1 more day off than I did!) I drove 65mph in the flats in OH. I got around 7.5mpg there but it was very windy. I believe that the computer was off by about 1/2 of a MPG as I was usually putting in about 2.5 gallons more than the "Gal Used" said I had for that tank.I know that he got around 10mpg going from Sandusky OH to Rochester, NY on his trip back. For most of the trip I was filling up about two times to his one.

With parks and gas for the 13 day trip we spent around $1,300. Still cheaper and more fun than hotels :)

I guess I should change average to desired. Although there was times that we hit 80mph. I do not have ST tires on my trailer.

When I drove 75 - 80 i got around that, when I finally slowed down to 65 it came up around 3 MPG. I also learned towing a heavy TT at that speed blew tires, RV trailer tires just are not meant to go that fast.

I'd throw up in my mouth if my towing mileage with mine was that. Not to mention how quickly I'd be trading/selling it! I'm glad to hear your content with it though. The 6.2 really is a good engine.

doing around 65-70mph on the long part of I95 in northern maine I got around 10.2mpg hand calculated with my setup which is about identical to your but the Diesel version of your truck.
