Pull the rear drive shaft and drive it. See if it binds on just the front pulling. If so, at least you know it's in the front end.
The salvage yard I got the differentials from is also an auto shop. They are going to drive the truck today and see what they think and then I will go from there. Pulling the rear shaft is a good idea.
