Its a good truck, I have a 2000 F250 crew cab with the 7.3 diesel and 6 speed manual transmission. It is mostly used as a weekend truck to haul stuff these days, but it is still going strong at 226,000 miles. I have owned it for about 10 years, had a new clutch put in at 175,000 miles, ball joints and brake work at 200,000, it has been in the shop a few other times for air conditioner, and minor stuff, the only time I was stranded by the truck was when the clutch pedal linkage broke while shifting one day. One annoying bit is the power locks on the doors tend to fail, but they may have fixed that by the time the one you are looking at came out. I also think they upgrade the brakes in 02.
