I would say that the fact that the X has one owner with all service records, and some corrective work has been done on the X, is a better starting point than some unknown on the dealer's lot. However, it doesn't sound like everything that can go wrong has been fixed...
Disappointing to see comments that the diesel is about "done" at only 180k miles...I thought the reason folks paid a premium for a diesel motor was for longevity and resale?
