DH took it to a mechanic today and confirmed all the bulletproofing is done and he said its a great truck. Called our insurance agent (State Farm) and he said he can insure for $1060 per year as non commercial since it's only used for pulling the TT and doesn't have anything on it that makes it look like anything other than a big pick up (not a flatbed or something). It has been registered in CA as a commercial truck so I guess I will look into that before we make a final decision.
You all have been so helpful and have given me things to look for that I didn't know would be an issue. DH is loving the truck but he would love a 350 or Dodge 3500 too I think.
