As a former 6.0 owner, I just love how people throw around the term "bulletproof". There are many issues that can be addressed and mostly cured, but there is one major item that you will never be able to fix. The heads are the flaw on this motor. You can "bulletproof" all you want, but let it overheat just once and see what happens. All it takes is a broken radiator hose or heater hose while towing and the damage will be done long before you realize it. Once the coolant level drops below the temp sender, neither the ECT gauge or dummy lights will warn you. The first clue is the fan clutch engaging because of high oil temperature. The heads are way beyond their working limit by the time this happens. If you are towing a load when this happens, bye bye head gaskets! It may not be immediate failure, but any over temperature situation will compromise the gaskets even with head studs. If you want to drive it like a car, the 6.0 is a nice engine. If you want to work it like a truck, good luck!
