Just depends which one on which day.
Todays diesel's with all the emission stuff and complexity will eventually fail. Some fail sooner than others but eventually it will bight you. My cousin has replaced 4 engines last year due to a injector failure and wiped out the piston/cylinder and the entire engines was trashed except for a few parts.
It's tough to tell the customer that he has to eat the cost of a new engine plus the cost of the core.
