Be aware of Chinese made Allison filters that are red and are identical looking to the Allison filter.
I think if you buy them from an Allison dealer w/ an Allison stamp on them, in the USA, you'll be ok. When I was buying them, they were only about $7 each, and good for about 15k miles, if I remember correctly, so it is a pretty inexpensive item -- no need to buy on-line and save another buck!
