Those that say the upgraded parts are just stronger are just wrong.
They are stronger but the entire geometry is different. With the old system (referred to as a "Y" system), the alignment changes slightly every time the suspension compresses and then returns as it goes back to a normal position. The new system doesn't change so it's a better design and gives better tracking with less input form the driver.
However, a properly aligned Y system also works very well. I have not updated mine and don't plan to until it's needed. My truck tracks perfectly as is.
