^^^^^ Where do you folks come up with this stuff???? Even if you had a good solid argument prior, stating nonsense detracts from it.

FYI, a quick google search for 2013 shows Chevy and GM brands sold 685k, Ford 733k and Ram...... wait.... ready...... 355k. (This is combined units folks.. includes the 1/2's, 3/4's, and 1 ton). Glad you're happy with your Ram. I really am. But the OP is looking for good info and spewing goggle-d-goop trying to build whatever case you think is the right way doesn't help.

I really do get a kick out of these threads... I swear most of the folks responding never actually read the responses..they just want they're belief system, however skewed, to be heard. You know, the "my brother new a mechanic who..."

I had a crappy truck three times in my life. One was a Dodge, one was a Chevy and one was a Toyota. Hahaha, just kidding, it was a Datsun I think. But now I hate all the big three. Because they all, at one time, built something and SOLD it and it wasn't PERFECT. Damn them all.

If only we could all afford perfect. (oh, boy, here comes the "I paid so much and I can't believe it had a problem" stories).

Indeed! I'm going to keep my 6.0 so I can tow my duramax friends home, with full knowledge that some day I may have to dish out $5K to do heads and get another 500K out of my truck.

So it's settled then! And we ALL AGREE! You can keep your 6.0 if you like your 6.0! And you can keep your Cummins if you like your Cummins! You can even keep your Duramax if you like it!

You say I'm blinded but maybe your filter is missing all of the other posters on this thread who actually owned 6.0s. Note: none of them are saying the 6.0 is the best engine ever, but it does have real strengths as well.

In any case, I'm done for now talking about 6.0s for this thread. It might as well be a SRW vs DRW thread. :)

I'm not passing opinions, Jim, I like FACTS. The facts are out there in black and white, but your Ford blue oval is completely blinding you. It seems YOU'RE the one who needs to read up. How about this little tidbit for starters:

Ford and Navistar separated for a variety of reasons. For the record, not all Navistar engines have issues. Read up on Navistar/Ford to know all of the reasons. They disagreed on what was Navistar's issues and what was Ford. Ford apparently decided they'd be better off starting from scratch. I wasn't in their decision tree. I can expect it was a marketing decision or or a legal decision or both. Another factor is the requirements from EPA to go cleaner. Again, this doesn't directly relate to the 6.0.
