What does this have to do with the 6.0 engine? I do not see the connection.
Personally, I really question most things any manufactures says. But, the court actions between Ford and International pretty well says enough for me. I do believe every vehicle has its weak points, but the issues with the 6.0 put it way beyond what I see as a weak point.

I'll tell you what it is- brand loyalty and insecurity. Notice how, instead of answering the honest questions I posed, Jim automatically was trying to discredit the other engine makers. Anyone who knows anything about diesel engines would laugh at the comparison. The Ford 6.0 is probably the worst diesel engine ever produced, and the original poster was asking about purchasing one. I think it's fair they understand the potential pitfalls of such a purchase.
I personally would rather be warned than fall into a potential money pit which, in many cases, runs into the tens of thousands of dollars. It just so happens that Ford is the manufacturer whose name is on the grill of this lemon. If it were Dodge, I'd say the same thing, just like I warn people to NEVER buy a Cummins "53" block from the late 90's/2000 24 valve trucks. If a Ford fan was screaming about how the 53 blocks were junk, I would completely agree. What I wouldn't do was try to steer the conversation to what a piece of junk the 6.0 is.
