- dennis1ExplorerAny luck with the fix?
- kerry4951ExplorerI threw a code twice on my 2007.5 (new body style) Silverado D/A. Once on the George Washington bridge going into NYC. The truck went into a limp mode and it wasnt a happy time. Had an exhaust sensor replaced (forget the technical name of it) and about 3 months later it happened again. My local dealer had it for about a week, so that told me they were not having alot of luck diagnosing the problem. After that I soon got rid of it. I knew I would never trust it, plus I needed a dually anyway. Seems like some of the 2007s were plaqued with code isues.
- _1FlyboyExplorer II. . .Do you have a tuner or programmer on the truck???? Does it happen when not towing / or towing??? Is truck truly "stock" or not. . .I get codes when I have truck programmed & towing on hot days; do NOT get codes towing on hot days when not programmed. . .FYI & YMMV. . . 07 LBZ

07 "Classic" HDs were pre DPF too (LBZ version of the Duramax)George H wrote:

2007 isn't the DEF model. DEF didn't come along until 2011 model year.- powderman426ExplorerWith that combination of codes, I would first check the fuel pressure.
When did you last change the fuel filter?? - dennis1ExplorerHello,
Mine 2007 LBZ. It gets a 2563 code also. Took it to a diesel shop. Cleared the code. They say it could be the sensor, vane or turbo. Going with the cheapest they would change the sensor since its unlikely a turbo problem. The problem code came back few weeks later without changing anything. Then it goes away after about 4 cycles of starting the engine. Been doing that for about 4 times now. Waiting to see it stay on, then taking it to the shop. I see no change in power or MPG. My mileage is 54K. PM me if you find the fix. Thanks - Scott16ExplorerAlso you might want to check the www.duramaxforum.com
A lot of posts about the DEF and issues. Don't know when GMC changed over for a 07 Truck. Might be DPF only. I believe the DEF went into the 2012 Trucks. I do know the 06 Chev/GMC Diesels were the last year with out any Emission systems.
Best of luck,
