You like your Fiat and I like my Ford.Bird Freak wrote:transamz9 wrote:That's true, It is also true that they may not have. Whats your point?Bird Freak wrote:
Next time you go out count how many you see on the road. I bet there are several. Very happy with mine.
Just because they are on the road don't mean they haven't spent many a paychecks into it to keep it on the road.
My point is that if you win big money in the Lottery a lot then go buy one because you have the kind of luck to find a good one. It's that simple. The odds are against you if you buy a 6.0.
You don't know me well enough to make that statement. I like all trucks including Ford. I just have a preference that I like to drive. Ford as well as Chevy makes a good truck.
As far as where I get my info. It is in the file cabinet beside my desk in my office. Out of the five 6.0's that we have owned or still own (I have one) they have all had the the normal 6.0 issues. We still have 3 of them, one being mine with 200,000 miles on it (20,000 on new motor) one with just shy of 300,000 miles that i need to get in for more injectors and glow plugs and one that has 75,000 miles on it that is a hauler truck. My BIL has one sitting in his driveway now that won't start waiting on me to work on it. So to recap our odds, 0 out of 6 have been good motors. Being I am a know Ford basher I will tell you that I have had to put a (1) turbo on one of our Cummins trucks. That's the only engine trouble we've had out of the Cummins. One of our Cummins is in a F650 dump truck with an Allison Trans.
