2009 Lance 830 Solar wires????

My Bro just bought a used 3 times and stored indoors lance 830 and I am trying to help him install a renogy 200 watt solar system. I see the solar plug on the roof but cannot seem to locate any wires inside the camper. Anyone know where they may be hidden? A call to Lance and I get an answering machine.

Plug next to the antenna

Inside next to antenna...nothing

Can seem to locate anything in the battery compartment

Nothing in here that looks like solar wires

Any ideas?

Some misc pics, this camper is sweet!!!!

Thanks in advance
Nolan
  • It should be a blue 12ga wire with silver lettering behind the panel you removed in that upper compartment. The battery end of the blue wire should be loose in the battery compartment near the PD converter, and you can confirm the lettering when you find it. The white wire that of the same gauge/type is the negative and terminates at ground block already.

Another option is to go down the fridge vent.

You are on the right track, and that is a very nice camper... I have done a couple of solar installs on 830's so let me know if you need more help.
  • Carlos Sarria...just spend $45k cash...trust me he will remember me...lol

  • First...I really those 830's and would have one if I could have found a nice used one or if Lance still made them!!

It looks like they might just terminate at the panel you have pulled in the second post. Is there an easy route from there to the battery box? I know one other poster here has that camper, maybe he ran solar.

It sucks that they wouldn't run them to the box...seems very odd they would do that unless behind that second panel it drops to the box, it would be a pretty simple pull if so.
  • Instead of calling, use the Contact form on the website.
