Only a certified uplifter can legally change GAWR and/or GVWR. Why have to install air bags or some other helper if buying new? A 350/3500 addresses the issue going out the door. Except maybe for 350's everyone seems to bag them.

Because once again: If you have to bag a 2500 you will have to bag a 3500. Why? Because they are the same truck minus the stuff I mentioned.

BTW: In my state it makes a BIG difference when it comes time to get that little sticker every year. 8 years ago my friends F450 cost $1,500 for that little jewel. (I know some of you from Or are laughing right now :B) Hey we have to raise money for our train to nowhere right? :B

And you'll find one 3500 for every ten 2500 trucks on dealer lots. One tons are like unicorns.

To tell you the truth, no itch. I just figured if I could get American $ for my truck at today's exchange rates I would jump at it. If someone actually took me up on it I have no idea what I would do to replace what I have. I might end up looking to see if there are any new leftover 2016 Fords still around. If not, I would look at the new Ford but the price tag might scare me away.....I'm pretty sure GM is more money than what I want to spend so maybe I would have a real close look at a new Ram.

Gvwr has no legal basis so changing it doesnt require an upfitter.

Congrats! Very nice I think that my next truck will be a diesel probably a 1 ton but I need to test drive it.

I drove a 2016 RAM 1 ton short bed and a 2016 RAM 3/4 ton short bed both trucks identical. The 1 ton rode alot rougher. I decided to go with the RAM 3/4 ton Outdoorsman 6.7 Cummins

First Dodge PU for me but I love my 2016 CTD 2500. Just turned 10K miles and zero issues.

Used late model diesels resale value is too high for me to consider anything but new right now. Of the options listed, I would do #2.
