Do you feel any vibration in the floor? If the torque converter is not balanced correctly that will take out the seal and front pump. The converter is installed on to the transmission before it is mounted to the engine so they should not have cut the new seal. Maybe a cut pump cover o-ring? That would not be hard to do if they tried replacing it hanging from the transmission jack.
Are you sure it's not a line leaking. Where is the puddle of oil, off to the side or in the center of the truck?

Leaking from center of housing, i first thought it was the rear main seal, but it was tranny oil. I don't see anything from up top dripping down. Truck is very smooth shifting and I was very nervous to have them remove the tranny the first time. Now they will have to do again.
