2013 F350
How is the 2013 F350 Diesel doing for Pros & Cons? I may be looking for one soon, lots of deals going on now. Love to hear from anyone. Thanks.

I don't know why I'm jumping in on this, because I bought a gas truck, and hence, have no real world experience, but I wanted to say that I have a friend that is a diesel tech at a dealership that says the pump problem is extremely rare lately, and Ford is NOT denying all warranty claims as some on here would have you believe. Awesome engine, in an awesome truck.

Actually many have retired their 7.3 and upgraded to the 6.7. Most I've read who made the upgrade prefer the 6.7's power and towing capabilities and great fuel economy.
BTW my FIL has a 2003 7.3 and there's no comparison to the power, fuel efficiency, quit power the 6.7 makes. The only advantage I see with his 7.3 is it's lack of emissions equipment and no DPF.

I have a buddy who had a 2013 f350 srw and ford ended up giving him all his money back includung the money he had spent on the bed liner and hitch, It had a real bad shake when towing a 5th wheel he had. All the wheights where under the rateing of the truck, ford even had it weighed by their guys and they could not find the problem after replacing everthing from motor mounts to rearend,my buddy went and bought a chevy, lol!
what perfect truck would you suggest for your friend?

If a person wants a truck with a CP4.2 pump and a warranty that the manufacture will honor, then GM is the better choice vs Ford. If you want a more reliable CP3 pump then RAM is the choice.
It is hard to believe after the 6.0 and the 6.4 that Ford is not just fixing this silently like GM!
And that is why so many say the 7.3 was the last good Powerstroke!
