Turbo problems are mostly on the derated C&C engines, so if you are getting an F250 or F350 you most likely will not have the issue.
HPFP is usually related to some type of fuel contamination, such as accidentally putting DEF in the tank, or large amounts of water. I also think Ford had some changes made late in 2012 that seems to be helping with this issue, but I have no proof. Regardless it has a low rate of occurrence, but it is large dollars if it happens. Recently a user posted that Ford covered his under warranty, so that is a plus.
The valve problems are mostly limited to the earlier manufactured 6.7's and this issue also seems to be resolved.
The sky is not falling with the 6.7
I really like mine so far. I have 18k miles on it. I love how it tows and the interior is comfortable.
I think the 2 issues that bother me more are the death wobble and the radiator. These two issues seem way more common than the above list.
