This is my first Ford. It had a small issue with the turbo right off the dealer lot. Ford was aware of the problem and told the dealer to wait for a new turbo which was to come right from the factory. They stressed not to install one from the parts department. I suspect there must have been a slight modification in the design of the turbo yet the service manager at my dealership said he couldn't see a difference between old and new. Anyway, I like my Ford far better than my 2010 GMC which is really a pretty good truck as well. The GM gets a little better fuel economy empty but the Ford does a little better pulling. The GM also does a smoother job of shifting and is always in the right gear where as the Ford occasionally makes a hard shift or might automatically chooses a gear too high both down and up hills. Ford has much nicer towing mirrors, seats, locking compartments, power outlets, info center, gear indicator and ability to lock out any number of gears. The interior feels as though it is much better quality. The ford is much quieter, has a much better torque converter and although the GM might win in a race the Ford seems to handle my 30,000 lb goose neck much better than the GM.
Have you driven the 2011+ LML Duramax? Nothing like your 2010 in terms of towing.
