I don't dislike any brand. I have owned them all. At the present time, Ford simply hasn't got it together. The reason I know so much about the Ford is that I studied it in great detail when I was in the market for my present truck...There is a lot to like about them, but they are not the best at this point IMO.
I honestly find it hard to believe that a truly unbiased person could study in great detail the difference between Ford and GM and walk away choosing a GM. GM makes a great truck and I can see people people with a GM bias sticking to GM or people with a bad Ford experience choosing a GM but to compare the two trucks side by side and then choose a GM ... hard to believe.
I have the older 7.3 . Ford up until now has not had a very good engine after the 7.3. It seems that the 6.7 is proving itself, but the HPFP issue, and warranty gives me a bit of a pause. Is it enough to stay away from ford probably not , but it sure makes the GM more attractive. Have test drove both, and it is a hard choice unless you are hung up on interiors, and I am not, so GM is okay by me. I don't think it is hard to believe when comparing the two, and deciding on GM. It is a tough choice. Probably can't go wrong with either one .
