HEY, where did everyone go??? I make a funny in my last post about what is needed in changing fuel pump after someone states you have to dig a 10' hole and tilt the truck straight up in the air to drain the fuel filter and no one comes on here to even make fun of me...man, that hurts:)

You have to jack up the rear of the truck about 4 feet so the fuel runs towards the front and fills the filter. Or you can dig a 4 foot hole in front of the front tires and drop them in...
Just lift it with your fifth wheel's landing gear...
... or so that other thread said. - NC_HaulerExplorer...well, at least I'm not alone.....right here in the mountains of western North Carolina just outside the city limits of Asheville NC.....home of the "Biltmore House":)

How did we go from asking about a grid heater light to digging a three foot hole to drain or fill fuel filter:h
Usual stuff Jim, ask a Ram question and the OB's are all over it :W
"Guinea Pig" is a rather harsh comment, I myself prefer "Beta tester" :B
OBTW 2013 Rams have a CP.3 HPFP, not the exploding type :E
"Beta Tester"....yeah.....that DOES sound better, and the cage WAS getting a little rank for some reason:).....I could wear one of those white lab coats if I'm a "Beta Tester":B
Yep, Ram steered clear of the CP.3 HPFP, kinda glad they did because to replace it, from what I understand, you have to remove the hood, turn the truck over and while it's resting on it's roof, you remove the engine, (HAVE TO BE FAST to get out from underneath the truck when the engine drops:B), then dig a 1' X1' deep hole and bury the HPFP and just leave the truck where it is and you can use it as a "conversation piece"....if you can sell any parts on it, you may have to get a ladder to climb on top of the truck, but it makes all the good stuff really accessible and easier to remove without falling on you.....unless you weren't fast enough to get out from underneath the engine when you removed it.....then the rest of the post after that step is "moot":) - The_Mad_NorskyExplorer

Glad you other folks straightened this out. May get one this fall and don't want to forget getting needed equipment, like a backhoe or shovel to go with the truck. - 45RicochetExplorer
