Fwiw, many dealers and shops mark up parts considerably over what one would pay, retail. Whether one agrees with or even understands the pricing/strategy is another discussion.
Lou, sorry for your issues. The supply chain and service issues are getting real in this country.
At this point unfortunately it sounds like you’re at the mercy of whatever option can get you back on the road.
I know I’ve changed my train of thought about procrastinating about stuff, recently, due to the same issues. (Not saying you procrastinated, but sh it is getting real here. Vato Zone had a lot of empty spots on their shelves yesterday, even. And a few months ago it took me weeks to get the power steering pump I needed for a very popular automobile.)
