$2200 installed is fair (well fair - ish) if it’s a new actuator. Over $1k for the part with a reasonable dealer markup, less than $1k install (not horrible for a dealer). And couple hundo in tax on the WA side.
Reman it’s not a good price but warranty and back on the road is worth something.
For comparison I just replaced the exhaust manifold gaskets on the Cummins on Saturday.
Parts = cheap.
Labor =. Called 2 shops, both good private shops that I know the owner or head mechanic of. Because I really didn’t want to do it with my schedule right now.
$1000 seemed to be the going rate.
About a days work. Took me a good 6 hours with all the right tools. Would have been less time if it was a 5.9 and more time if it wasn’t deleted.
And honestly neither shop cared whether I brought it in or not. They weren’t looking for work…
