I believe IB516 is a crash inspector for a police dept. After reading a few of his posts, there's a lot more to the deployment of air bags than just a dented bumper. The computer registers all kinds of parameters before deployment of a air bag. Many times a 10 MPH fender bender they will not deploy. Shopping carts come to mind here :W
But I'm not the expert.

Good pull Troy :W Do we really want to start listing turbo failures? Cause I know of plenty, along with CP.4's, and transmission's issue. I leave it alone for the most part, and don't go on a Ford thread to rip them. Don't get me started big boy cause you will be surprised at the amount of Ferd Chit I can dig up on your kool-aid site. Please tell me you really didn't really post that just because your jealous. I'm truly disappointed with your post, now let me go over to FTE and do some digging, you pompous wind bag :E Or was that Ricatic's quote :B
OBTW is that 10 minute turbo fix covered under warranty? Clearly a exhaust clamp came off and not the turbo itself.
Rick,
I would suggest you start another thread! :B- 45RicochetExplorerGood pull Troy :W Do we really want to start listing turbo failures? Well FishOnOne, I'm truly grateful that you're bending over backwards and going out of your way to show us just how lousy and terrible these new 13 Ram trucks are. It is greatly appreciated that you've taken your own leisure time to go to a car dealership, to a brand that you obviously detest and have test driven several, spent time finding out what some new ones are waiting for repair on and telling us how lousy of a drive they are....I got to admit, I can't think of very many Ram owners, if any, and especially me, who would go out of their way on a Sunday and frequent a car dealership and spend the day trying to pick apart a Ford or a Chevy/GM trucks..., BUT the Ram, you know, #3 in sales, # 3 behind Ford and GM/Chevy in all the towing test and on and on....It is greatly appreciated that you've spent SO much time on the 2013 Ram HD's driven/tested thread to go above and beyond trying to trash the new Ram truck in every way shape and form...I'm REALLY impressed that you have no life but to look for way's to trash someone else's truck....
If it makes you happy, I'm glad for you, it makes me really not care much for whatever it is you own, and would probably never buy one if it leaves me with my nose up in the air, thinking I'm better than everyone else, or whatever I own is better than anyone else's.
Believe me, Dodge/Ram owners already know their place, you really, really don't have to give up your time to do all this research and use all your time to trash these trucks. I've owned a Dodge truck since June of 2010 and so far, I've not had a single problem, yeah, not that long, but I would have thought by now, listening to the "nay-sayers", that my Dodge trucks would have imploded on the highway, broken axles, engine blew apart or something as bad as they're painted on these forums to be. You even clued us into something I've not heard...one with a bad turbo already....
I give you and A+ for being a Dodge/Ram critic, you are #1 in that field, and I think if you keep digging we'll eventually find out that they're nothing more than an illusion, sort of like "The Emperors new Clothes" , nothing really there...just imagination...
Really glad to see you come on to every Dodge/Ram thread that is opened... we alway's know you'll bring a lot of "value added" substance to these Ram forums and we know that you want to endear yourself to the owners of these trucks.. What am I supposed to "enjoy:B" ?? The fact that you like to be extremely sarcastic and get your kicks by making others miserable??? .I salute your audacity sir.
Lighten up Francis...:B
What's not "value added" here? I got an opportunity to go with my cousin (Ford/RAM diesel tech)to go to another dealer and meet one of his old associates (Another diesel tech who showed us the truck he was working on) and to kick the tires of some new RAM's and reported some observations.
BTW... Have you forgoten I purchased a 05 Dodge truck last year?
Spin the story how you like Sir! :R- NC_HaulerExplorerWell FishOnOne, I'm truly grateful that you're bending over backwards and going out of your way to show us just how lousy and terrible these new 13 Ram trucks are. What am I supposed to "enjoy:B" ?? The fact that you like to be extremely sarcastic and get your kicks by making others miserable??? .I salute your audacity sir. - Got to drive several '13 RAMs today including the 2500 and 3500 DRW series. The dealer had at least (6) 3500 DRW including one with the Long Horn package (Pumkin colored seats) and a bunch of 2500's. Surprisingly all of the 3500's had the 68RE auto and not a single aison auto on the 3500's.
The seat of my pant's power for the 2500's felt like the '12 a test drove last year or like my 05 Super Duty 6.0 psd and the 3500 Long Horn felt a little more sluggish than the 2500 probably due to the extra weight.
The flip door fuel port has to change as the rubber seal around the perimeter is very cheap with debris collected in several trucks I inspected. Also the DEF fuel port is very small so I wonder if the standard DEF fill nozzles at the truck stops will fit.
Rear leaf springs on the 2500 has a 4 leaf setup (1 more than my F250) and the 3500 springs appear identical to the '12. The 2500 has a VERY STIFF ride like the '12 so no ride improvement that I could tell.
The first '13 truck I went to look at was a customer's truck that was back at the shop for a new turbo and I noticed the front fender well was removed exposing the turbo so I took a picture of the turbo.
Below are a couple of pictures of the 3500 DRW spring pack and the 2500 Cummins in for a turbo repair.
Enjoy... :B - 45RicochetExplorer

What is curious is that Ram upgraded the frame for the 2013 1-ton trucks but not the 3/4 ton trucks. When GM upgraded the frame and other components in 2011 they were applied to both 3/4 and 1-ton pickups. Ram and Ford seem to purposely emasculate the 3/4 ton trucks for reasons I cannot fathom.
Can anyone confirm if the frame of 3/4 ton has not been upgraded for 2013.
It has not been upgraded. - sidneyExplorer

Never really gave it much thought, but the 13's have front and side air impact bags....at least it states so on my truck....
