I read this thread just for the laughs. Didn't even watch the video. I could not care less about another stupid You Tube video.
But when Jim reports he caught a "PILE of small mouth bass and pan fish on the river." Right after a heavy rain storm...well that gets my attention right there.
:B..SON, almost every cast on the Greenbriar River that flows through Pence Springs WV, I caught something, either a smallie, "Red Eye", or Rock Bass and Sun Perch....nice size bass, several over 15" long..not big, but fought good, caught everything on spinners while floating and rowing up and down the river on my kayak....yeah, you can't beat it...:)
..AND, it was right after a fairly heavy rainstorm...cleared up and now it's about 85 degrees and sunny.
oh...my bad...got side tracked...we were talking about...uh....HEY, I'm going back out this evening, believe I'll try a top water plug..yeah..hey, beats the heck out of talking about TV's:B - Cummins12V98Explorer III

LMAO, only shows a tuned truck can kick it off the line. BTW the clown in the D-Max was doing the counting so he know exactly when to launch, as evident by the fact that the clown in the Ram did start.
As far as "Pretty good testimony to durability when being abused" unless you know the truck that is a ridicules comment don't you think? Kind of like the clowns around here the say....I have 180,000 miles and are still have the OE brakes, tires, ect,ect on and on. Come on really, no wonder GM needed money from the Gov, they never sell any parts.
Don
That was a poke at Cummins12V98
He was suggesting the Dmax had a programmer.
And I must be a clown. My 2001 Dmax had 134K on it when I sold it and still had about 1/3 life left on the pads. My trucks spend 70-80 loaded heavy..So yes it is very possible for the Dmaxes to go 200K on a set of brakes.
I expect my 2011 will do even better as the brakes were upsized considerably.
Not sure what the poke was, sometimes I am dense.
Any 08 Diesel smoking like that one has a tuner. - HuntindogExplorer

I just bought a case of buttered popcorn and can't waste it so keep them coming.

Last thing I would do with a brand new $40K to $60K Cummins with 146 miles on it is run a drag race! I might think about it at about 5K to 10K miles.
The old saying, "More money than brains", would be the perfect caption for some of these "racing from light to light" and "racing to the top of the mountain with a load" videos. I didn't gloat when I owned the Chevy's that won some of those shoot outs....never know when you could lose or something happens to your truck while doing these kind of things...As stated, you sink the kind of money one puts in these trucks, no matter the brand, last thing I want to "go out of my way" and do, is abuse it...don't get me wrong...I have in the past, but finally "got a clue" and "grew up", (my wife told me to do that:))...
I'm one of those guys, though right or wrong, that belives about the time I start gloating about something of mine, or cut on something someone else owns, the next thing that will happen will be something go wrong with whatever it was I was gloating or bragging on and it'll just come back to "bite me"...so I try to stay neutral, though it is hard with some on these forums who go "above and beyond" to take digs at the lowly Ram truck and their owners, as THEY see or depict it...BUT, if it keeps them busy and out of trouble....more power to them, glad we Dodge owners can help make your day...Happy July 4th.:B
I had a happy July 1 but happy July 4th to you NC. You take things too personally .... I would have enjoyed the video just as much if the Ram had wasted the Chevy or if a Ford had got humbled. Until Pickuptrucks.com comes out with something better the you tube videos will have to do. All three of these trucks are fast enough for me so first up the hill isn't going to come into play on deciding my next truck. Fuel economy could though.
Story of my life...take things too seriously:)..oh well, we're all different, guess I look at things a little differently than I did years ago...just ignore me and I'll eventually go away:) Not much into Utube, unless it's watching some sports replays :)....Anyhoo, if I offended you by my reaction, I apologize...I need to get off this forum, it appears I make too many people mad, or offend them and I really don't go out of my way to do that....sorry...........

Your starting to sound like Carl now :R - goducks10ExplorerI base all my decisions on YouTube videos. I guess I missed that one or I would of bought a Dmax instead of a Ram.

Are you forgetting which forum you are on?
I should add;
Pickuptrucks.com performs drag race between brands - irrefutable science.
video of 2 guys drag racing - douche bags abusing trucks.
and 4 pages of Italian fanboys "claiming" the one of them cheated.
