I had Dodge bed that I bought for my Ford to replace utilty bed and can't count how many hr I put in rewelding the bed. It had cracks at each spot-weld and the rear was constantly opening. It was ca 2000 Dodge bed.
I am observing aluminium bed on my F350 and the only dent on bed rib come when I bought camper that need shimming and selling dealer set it on 2x4.
The 4000+ lb dry camper put lot of pressure at the end of bed.
