While searching around I found that some people are using a wood hardener after drying out the affected area. The area of concern is approx. 18" square and i would prefer not to rip things apart unless absolutely necessary. Does anyone have any experience using this and would it stiffen up the soft spot? The luan is not mildewed or mouldy, it's just soft and wet. If this would make the area rigid again I would be happy with it.
