Comparison tests can be good info for a prospective buyer to check out. They can provide an opportunity to compare one vs another on the potential purchase list.
Comparing different criteria, looking at pictures of similar features and reviewing comparative performance numbers, for example acceleration,braking, mpg with load, solo can be of value.
It's not the end all, but comparison testing is an important tool to consider when determining which product makes most sense for the purchaser.
There is that element of 'gettin' ammo' for brand wars, that is for sure. Unfortunately that mentality among some, will always be there, it appears.
But the brand war deal should be of little significance for the wise consumer. Fanboys after all...usually don't want facts to get in the way of their blind loyalties. Their opinion has little credibility.
