Congraduations on the new truck.
For you who have a 2014 Ram 2500, can you compare the empty ride to a previous leaf spring truck? I'm curious if the new coil spring rear suspension rides better when empty.
thanks,
Pickuptrucks.com said it did ride better than the GM and Ford.
In my test drives, I found it better than my current truck, but not shockingly so. It still rides like a HD truck. Compared to what you currently have (96 Dodge 2500) it will be a big improvement I'd guess. I had an 02 and it rode like a lumber wagon.
The only thing I can compare it to is my 2013 Tundra. The Tundra has a pretty stiff ride stock, but it still absorbs road bumps pretty well. After I installed the airbags I think it rode much better. It didn't bounce as much over bumps.
The 2014 2500 Ram feels like an HD truck and I LOVE that. That said I only encountered a few road bumps in my test drive and the truck handled them very well. I think better than my Tundra. It absorbed the shock, but didn't have that bouncing feeling that leaf springs seem to have. It certainly didn't feel rough.
I pick it up at 6pm today and I have a 73 mile drive back home. I'll post and update when I get home.
