First the pics of the new rig...

and

Now the 153 mile ride report. First off the dealer. Awesome. I got the truck for almost $11,000 off of the sticker price. They are a high volume dealer. Not sure if we are allowed to give names, but PM me and I'll give you the dealer name. They have about 70 more 2500 Rams out there.
As for the truck. All I can say is WOW! It is MUCH better than I expected. The torque on this thing is so impressive. Cruising the expressway and maintaining speed at low RPM going up long inclines is no issue here. The motor just glides along...no shifting at all. Now punch it and it'll kick down and go! It's got tons of power. This is all unloaded of course.
The quality of the truck is what impressed me so much. The steering is tight and responsive. The brakes are equally impressive. Most situations just require light pressure. And there is very little spongy-ness. The motor sounds great and responds to the slightest input on the throttle. I monitored my temps throughout my journey today and you can tell the digital gauges are within a few degrees. Of course my driving didn't tax this machine at all.
I am completely blown away. I was a little nervous because my previous experience with a Chrysler product was not good. My Jeep Liberty was a POS. You could tell the interior was cheaply done. The plastics were hard and brittle, controls were cheap, electrics broke. The engine was burning lots of oil by 100K miles and the tranny was going out as well. This truck is NOTHING like that. The controls feel crisp and have a quality feeling. Nothing cheap here. This truck is an incredible value considering the deal I got.
I am going to rack up the miles so I can pull my TT on my next trip. Need to get 500 in...I'll post updates. Any questions just ask...
