Here is the mpg in my new Cummins Ram with over 2000 miles on it. My evic always stays around 16.8 to 17.4 in town with mixed driving

Wow...impressive...
On the 6.4 hemi I filled my tank yesterday and started taking it easy on the gas pedal. So far I'm averaging 16.9 all suburb driving. I do feel the MDS kick in quite a bit when I'm light on the pedal. Even when cruising at 35-40. You can def feel and hear MDS kickin' in. But I'm cool with that if it saves me money.
I am going to change my oil at 500 miles. Been researching that...the 6.4 hemi requires a 0w40 synthetic that meets standard MS-12633. The catch is that the only oil that meets the standard is Pennzoil Ultra 0w40 or the Mopar equiv, which is the same oil. Runs $9.50 a quart or so...what a pain in the rear. Just spent $80 on oil...
Has anyone changed the oil in their 6.4 hemi yet? Any tips?
