Painted grille/bumpers vs chrome is a preference thing only IMO.
The paint holds up fine. Yes there will be wear and tear but judging by my 2 vehicles 9 and 10 years old, the painted one has held up better.
Have replaced the chrome grille on the truck once like 5 years ago, chrome peeled off. Bumper is rusting and the rest of the truck is rust free. 135kmi and the grille is discolor ing again.
06 charger, painted, 100kmi shows less west and tear and is original.
