I am surprised that the GVWR on the gas truck is so much lower than the diesel. Enjoy your new truck. I think that the $8,000 you saved will be well worth it in the end. And you can get a oil change for $35 not the $150 that you used to spend on one!

PS: My gas motorhome with a 460" engine totally outran my buddies Country Coach with a 400 HP diesel on a steep mountain grade. With the heavier truck, I would not be surprised if you do have a higher 0-60 MPH speed than your buddy. .
