This is the grey area for me when it comes to the suspension, wheel and tire upgrades one makes to their rig for a camper. Does it not also upgrade the payload/Gross vehicle weight rating?
Even though suspension modifications can often allow for carrying heaviers loads, generally for the end consumer nothing will allow for a different higher GVWR. Sometimes upfitters are allowed to adjust the GVWR as provided under agreement with Ram as they make modifications. Our local Lance dealer would not sell a camper that was more weight than the available payload and for most of Lance's larger campers that required a one ton dually minimum.
