I not my intent to be mean or rude, but I really have never understood why people buy a short bed truck without a specific reason. Typically, they discover it is very limited. Makes no difference if it is a Ford, GM or Ram. Makes no difference if it is gas or diesel. I really think they only see a paint job, maybe looks cute, or it is more affordable. I sure hope it is not because they do not have confidence in driving a 8-foot bed truck. For me, when I make a major purchase costing thousands of dollars, I think it through. It is no time for impulse decisions. I do understand there are many reasons to have a short bed, but if you cannot deal with another 18-inches of length, maybe you should buy a midsize or mini truck.
