Quad bunks are hard to fine these days.

You should consider new. Not sure the budget...

If that trailer is clean and no leaks go for it. Not sure the pricetag.

Jayco makes the x213 with two front bunks. You can put someone on the jack knife sofa or dinette.

They used to make a x254. These are the newest type you can find and it may be beneficial to get newer then a 2005..

2016 was last year of x254 quad bunk.

tongue weights were about 400-450lbs

The x254's had a U dinette and they did away with the couach... A nice feature IMO.

6800 lbs will put you around 850 lbs. tongue weight.

we tow a 24 foot Jayco Jay flight that weighs 6000 pounds when loaded, and has a tongue weight of 800 pounds using an Equalizer E4 hitch on our 2014 Expedition. I think you'll be ok but a Hybrid would help you shed a few pounds. Just be sure you have the factory tow package on your Expy. At first, the dealer set us up with an E2 hitch which was not good at all. Make sure you invest in a good WD hitch

Thanks for the replies, we are a family of 5 And are looking for a Queen bed whith bunks in the back. Trying to stay under 25’ total length. Seems like the TW is the most pressing issue with my expedition, so looking for low TW models.

Watch the slide area corners on the floors for leaks. Those campers always had leak issues back there. Rotted down behind the dinette or couch. You cant see unless you lift the cushions and stant in there with your feet and check for soft spots..

What type of RV are you looking for? How many people? Maybe there are better options out there.

Thats probably the best you will do with TW.... Watch what you put in the door/bunk area such as bikes and stuff.. Everything you put there will add to TW.

Not much you can do on that trailer to pack at the rear.

Get a good WD hitch. And set it up properly.

That 580lbs can become 780lb real quick.

And who are you driving with in the truck?

You probably will need coilspring help in the rear...

This is a cheap try. Sumosprings... Other wise youll need expensive problematic air bags...
