TFL Truck did a test. 22.8 mpg when running empty on the highway. Surprisingly close the the in cab display which many say reads too high. VIDEO

Actually I'm impressed with 23mpg from a truck with this capability and considering the price of gas vs diesel this new Ford will have a very low operating cost in comparison to the Ecodiesel.
Also I'm interested how much fuel economy is affected at this altitude. I suppose at normal elevations the fuel economy would be even better.
As far as the fuel economy testing in this video I like the fact that the test included driving in two directions to average out some of the environmental effects, but would have like to see them drive 70 mph.
