There is no 85 octane gasoline in Ohio. There is E85 fuel, which is not even gasoline. It is 85% ethanol (corn alcohol), and 15% gasoline. Unless your vehicle is equipped for it, E85 will destroy your fuel lines, any gaskets or plastics that come into contact with the crap, and you will get about 20% poorer fuel economy with it.
85 octane is sold in Colorado and other places out west due to the elevation. I get better fuel economy running 85 octane in the mountains than I do in the flatlands with 87 octane.
