Ford spec'ed the wheels on the turbo on the 6.7 really strangely. They were really hard to balance and they had a ton of failures with them so I'm sure they wanted to fix that problem.
Pfff really. Never heard of that one before. In fact besides Ricatic's truck, the 6.7L PSD has been a solid performer. Not saying all of them had 0 trouble but the Ford built motor is a major improvement over the 2 previous Navistar.
"a ton"... :R
Well, I have never have passed up the opportunity to educate someone so here goes: :B
Here is a good post to read. Might want to read what post #4 said.
A little reading about the balance issue
Boom goes another turbo.
Turbo bounce
40K and two turbos
Utter garbage turbo's
1 truck 4 turbo's under 50K
3 Turbo's under 40K!
And more turbo's
There is a ton more turbo failure posts. Want me to post them? In fact there are starting to be more catastrophic engine failures then the turbo's that failed. Do you want me to post those? Turbo failure is super easy to find but the engine failure is going sky high and is even more easy to find. If you want them just ask. I aim to please. :B
Solid, PS.org posts from people with as little as 4 posts.....
New Fords are crap, peeps said so and a couple of other guys online.:B
