We have not had any 2013's in for turbo replacement.
Most of the turbo's we see are from trucks that ran very hot tunes on them.
there is a difference I can assume..
Look, you asked if anybody has heard of 6.7 updates and why they were doing them. I told you I have, and why they had to, including TSB's from Ford.
FMC knows when a truck is tuned and has the power to know if a truck has been tuned for over 5 years. Do you really think FMC is going to issue a TSB for tuned trucks over turbo issues? LOL, come on, get real. :R
This is a wheel balance problem and Ford figured it out a while ago. They put twin compressor wheels on one shaft with only a single turbin wheel. That is NOT a good idea and very hard to balance. That is why the new "updated" turbo's that replaced the junk ones are "super balanced." Even that did not help much because of the weird wheels that were spec'ed on these turbo's. An out of balance wheel will take it's toll on bearings REAL fast.
That is why the new 15's are going to have a new, new turbo design.
Here's the trough and here's the water.......... now it's up to you to drink. :)
