I try to avoid traveling to California whenever possible. I suppose the meat patties are made from soy bean since it's probably the "Green" thing to do and minimizes their carbon footprint.
Doesn't sound like quality to me, but more like a wannabe which usually ends up in a distant third and eventually goes into bankruptcy! :W
