- texasclarksExplorerA pretty fair test (video 2). I hope they do the SuperDuty and RamHd soon.
- MARK_VANDERBENTExplorerThey seem impressed even though specs for power have not changed from 2 years ago. I would say I am impressed too. What a beautiful truck !! I want one.
- 45RicochetExplorerSorry for not viewing Troy, short on time.
Did I miss something, I thought their 2015 has the same power as the 2011 :H
I did see the new baby DMAX over on PUT.com though. - ib516Explorer II

x2.
I checked the engine temp gauge near the end of the video. Flat to the floor up that 7 mile long grade (trip said 7.4 miles or something) and no overheating (at least not on the digital imitation gauge). Pretty impressive. 45Ricochet wrote:

GM's advertised power maybe understated do to the heated competition.- tomman58ExplorerBoy, got mine coming in June can't wait. $61,450.00, what a bargain, LOL. My BIL already has his, we'll be camping soon!
- ls1mikeExplorer III like when the small Motorhome, looks like a Sprinter, goes by! :)
- N-TroubleExplorerYep same LML powertrain since 2011 but that aint a bad thing. The Allison just puts the power to the ground better than anything else out there right now. Ram and Ford have to keep pushing higher "claimed" engine outputs just to stay competitive.

:h Not sure that is accurate. In all the tests I've seen (with the newest models) the Duramax is in last place in any performance tests.
It's also in last place with all of the "numbers" like GCWR and max tow in the 3500 series.
Sure it's no slouch, but by all performance and rating accounts they're 3rd.
Yes, this is a Ford commercial, and yes, they used a "pre-production" 2015 truck against the others, but the results are there. We now know this 6.7L Powerstroke is rated at 440hp/860tq. VIDEO
Performance wise, in the diesels:
2014:
1) Ram/Cummins
2) Ford/powerstroke
3) GM/Duramax
2015:
1) Ford/Powerstroke
2) Ram/Cummins
3) GM/Duramax - N-TroubleExplorerAt least cite an independent test, not one put on by Ford/Mike Rowe...
Ratings/paper numbers don't tell the whole story.
