HD trucks are exempt from the J2807 IIRC.

Your on to something there, all they have to do is give over 13k GVWR and they don't have to use J2807.

Wonder if that F250 will soon have a GVWR of 13001 lbs :B

My guess is that the big 3 won't implement them on their HD's in 2015, only 1/2 tons. Why not drag out the tow wars longer for the HD's.
