Whether you said or not, is not the point I was trying to make. Its the fact that not only did GM or Chrysler take bailouts/loans, but numerous Brand name American Co. ( FMC, Harley Davidson, MacDonald's...) point was to get off the Bail out train... Chrysler paid their debt back, GM is working on it (hopefully they do it soon) FMC still has outstanding loans.... it goes on and on.

A little trivia... (yes Chrysler took two bail outs) anyways... if not for the Dodge brothers, FMC may not have existed today. The Dodge brothers lent money to "ole" Henry to start up his production plant, he couldn't get financing anywhere else. Ford paid Dodge brothers with shares which they later sold off. So, if I were a Ford Fan, I would be thankful and perhaps buy a Dodge guy a beer and say "thanks brother".
