2015 Ram/Cummins emissions recall

So I found out today my truck has two pending recalls. One is a T25 for a restraint control module but the other for something with the emissions. They apparently are going to replace the entire catalytic converter. Funny, I never got a letter about the big one. I did get a "service DEF see dealer" message yesterday that only lasted about 5 mins. He said it could be related.

So, have any of you guys had this done? I've read that my mileage could go down after having this done. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

  • For any update that comes around, someone has to claim it cut fuel efficiency or power.
Repeated dydno tests show it just isn't true.
I wouldn't worry about it and get it done.
  • I had the one for the catalytic converter a year ago. I got a DEF message and also a warning that the engine would be de-rated in 120 miles. Warranty covered this, which I think was around $2500-$3000 if not warrantied. I also received a rental since I was over 120 miles from home and they kept it a week to get parts.

I also have the restraint control module notice, but haven't fixed this yet.

I haven't noticed any change in MPG, but can't say I've really checked.

    Sorry signature is wrong, I have a 2015 2500 Ram 4x4 Laramie.
