With a 20K trailer I think I would get the 4:10 gears. With two over drive ratios the lost of mileage between the 3:73 will not be large.
That said I love the 3:42's in our SRW with Aisin.

^This. 6th gear with 4.10s wil put you near the same rpms of older single OD trucks.
Even behind the mighty cummins, given the choice, 20klbs = get the most capable combo you can.
