Thank you. I'm not so sure it's FORD that isn't stepping up to help them. Crystal, with Ford, has always reached out to them and tried to assist from a Corporate perspective. I believe the issue is at more of a dealership level. I believe that many times the issue doesn't actually occure at the dealership, which as anyone who has every taken a vehicle in for service with any manufacturer knows, they will not work on a vehicle unless they can reproduce the problem at the dealership.
My wife had a 2011 Dodge Durango Citadel and experienced some really crazy issues ranging from her Nav system (uConnect) not working properly to the dlealership actually claiming her rear doors were wired incorrectly and need to be replaced (seriously). After (and I'm not kidding) 9 recalls, we decided to ditch the Fiat Brand and switch to an Infiniti QX56. I think that RAM trucks are very nice to look at, and the Cummins diesel is a great motor, but I do not believe in the truck that wraps around it. The reliability of materials, electronics, as well as dealership support isn't quite there yet.
My fathers 2014 Larmie Longhorn 4x4 1500 has had so many issues, from the uConnect system needing to be replaced (2 times) to the backup camera no longer functioning to the simple issue of the sheet metal being as thing as paper and bending extremely easily. He recently switched to a new Tundra and couldn't be happier.
