Shiner. What is the throttle valve?
I did not do the delete or tune myself. Actually the Ram dealer did the delete.
An EFI Live dealer did the latest tune which he says he will resolve.
I noted the pulsing right away running without trailer. Much more pronounced when towing.
Too sensitive throttle may be it.
But shifts are far to harsh for my liking.
Truck is crew/ 8 foot box.
Tthe throttle valve is on the intake side right before the EGR valve. In normal operation it is suppose to open and shut to cause a vacuum in the intake so more EGR gas will be sucked in. If it is not unplugged then it will open and shut causing the engine ti shutter. This is just one reason for bucking.
How to unplug the throttle valve
Another reason may be torque converter shutter or your tuner needs to fine tune the fuel and air flow. This is why you are suppose to do a data log when first get a custom tune after doing a transmission learn drive cycle.
A tuner will generally send you a generic custom tune and you are suppose to run a 10 or so minute data log and send him the file along with any changes you would like to make. He will then go over the data log, make the changes you requested(if he can), and send a new file back to you to load into your Autocal. Most of the time the generic tune will be fine, but some trucks need a little more fuel mapping adjustment to make them right.
How to data log with EFI Live
Also, the harsh shift is mainly due to your transmission "relearning" and is normal during this time until a few drive cycles. This also happens anytime the dealer re-flashes your truck.
